International Arts Movement announces the launch of its first serial web publication, the Curator. Visit curatormagazine.com.

The Curator is a web publication of International Arts Movement (IAM), which announces the signs of a “world that ought to be” as we find it in our midst, and seeks to inspire people to engage deeply with culture that enriches life and broadens experience.

In keeping with IAM’s belief that artistic excellence, as a model of “what ought to be”, paves the way for lasting, enduring humanity, The Curator seeks to encourage, promote, and uncover those artifacts of culture – those things which humans create - that inspire and embody truth, goodness, and beauty.

IAM founder Makoto Fujimura featured on cover of Christianity Today.  On newstands now.

Here's an excerpt:

"I advocate for art in the church, and in the art world I'm advocating for the gospel. I need words to do that." He has launched an organization, the International Arts Movement, to "re-humanize the world."

"Artists are leaders simply because we are in the 'enterprise of persuasion,' " he has written. "With that [comes] great responsibility … to use that persuasive influence to create the 'world that ought to be.' "
