IAM congratulates Samuel W. Kho for his appointment as Director and Curator of the All Things Project Gallery (Neighborhood Church of Greenwich Village), located on Bleecker Street.

As a graduate student in the Art Market at Fashion Institute of Technology - SUNY, Sam was curator  in 2006 of the very idiosyncratic Breaking the Skin, an exhibition sponsored by IAM and the All Things Project at NCGV.

Sam likes to share his thoughts about contemporary art, and occasionally does so through writing (he currently has two articles in The Curator, IAM's online publication - see http://www.curatormagazine.com/samkho).

He has had many interesting art-related roles. He helped open the first U.S. gallery for a major Asian art firm. More recently, Sam happily co-directed a Los Angeles project space (un)known for launching a young art star or two.

To him, art, like life, is perhaps like cactus: it ought to be thorny just as it can be beautiful.

Sam joins the project this month and we look forward to a series of thoughtful shows under Sam’s direction beginning in January 2009.

The appointment was made possible by a generous matching grant from the Mustard Seed Foundation.
