Congratulations to artist Jered Sprecher, featured in a panel discussion at IAM's 2008 Encounter, for winning a 2009 Guggenheim Fellowship. (Announcement can be read here.)
Sprecher, an assistant professor in the School of Art at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville), received the prestigious award given to artists, scientists and scholars who have demonstrated productive scholarship, stellar achievement and exceptional promise for continued accomplishment in research or the arts. This year, 180 fellows were chosen from 3,000 applicants across the U.S. and Canada. (More...)
