Publishers, booksellers, literary organizations, libraries, schools and poets around the country band together every April to celebrate National Poetry Month.

International Arts Movement believes that the pleasures of poetry ought to be brought to the public in immediate and innovative ways. To commemorate, we will highlight one poem from the Spring section of  L.L. Barkat's book Inside Out each week.

The Wait

You aren't
the only one
waiting
for tongue
and cheek,
wishing
to fall asleep,
to hold
perchance
to dream.
