IAM is delighted to be working with Sgt. Ron Kelsey, an artist and soldier in the United States Army. In 2001, Ron was an art student and intern with Makoto Fujimura. In summer of 2009, he returned from a deployment in Iraq, and is now stationed in Germany. Ron had an idea to create an exhibition that would give artists a chance to serve the military and honor those who have sacrificed so much for the sake of our nation. To that end, IAM and the Army's MWR are behind Reflections of Generosity, a traveling exhibition and performance. The first stop was the Ft. Drum Army Base in upstate New York. Next up is the base in Illesheim, Germany, which will open on a date TBD early in 2010 and conclude with a remembrance ceremony on September 11, 2010.
