Discussion Group - December 3
IAM New York's weekly Wednesday morning discussion group will be meeting this week to discuss a short, cheeky article from The Guardian. If you weren't there last Wednesday to get the printed article, you can find it here:http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/booksblog/2008/nov/21/bad-novels-fiction
Read the article, scribble on it if you like, consider supplemental material you might know about, and come ready to discuss within IAM's framework of art, faith, and humanity.
The discussion group meets weekly at Cafe 28, on Fifth Ave between 27th and 28th
Streets (on the upper level), from 8-9am - and those who don't need to leave at 9am can stay to socialize over coffee afterwards!

Gala for Limon Dance Dec 3
From Gordon Pennington, on behalf of Limon Dance:You're invited to join us -- for one of the most artistically inspiring events of the year -- in New York City on Wednesday evening December 3rd, 2008!!
We'll be celebrating the Limon Dance Company Gala in New York City, in celebration of 100th anniversary of Jose Limon's birth! There will be a gala performance at the Joyce Theatre in the West Village followed by a specially designed food & wine reception at the Metropolitan Pavilion.
Limon is the oldest contemporary dance company in the world today -- at the height of their artistic and critical powers. On Monday, the Limon Company was awarded the National Medal of Art in memory of Jose Limon, the greatest Mexican-American choreographer in history. They have just performed to sold-out audiences in Mexico City and Guadalajara, Italy and Germany and will be performing at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC on January 16/17th, 2009 as well.
