We had a great "no content" Wednesday this week, chatting and discussing each other's work. This week we're back to articles. I handed out this one:

I'd like to use it to spend a little time talking about the role of art criticism, and maybe some dreaming about what good criticism is.

This is our new president's official platform on the arts and culture, and I thought it behooved each of us to be informed about the details. (By the way, I read in the Times that there was substantial funding for the NEA included in the House version of the bailout bill, but it hadn't made it into the Senate version yet. We'll see what happens.)
