SON OF A KHRUSTY is a dark new rock musical comedy about a young Appalachian musician, Danderhauler Agamemnon Khrusty, whose life is dominated by his family band, namely, his overbearing father, Winston Julius Octavia Khrusty, Jr. In the opening scene he confesses to Cowboy Jesus, the family heirloom statue, that he’s lost his ability to feel. Cowboy Jesus responds by challenging Danderhauler to a duel, accidentally shooting him. This sets Danderhauler on a series of tragedies and joys which promise to either heal or cement his own numbness and his severed relationship with his father .
