In this episode, Christy speaks with author Bret Lott, whose 1991 novel, Jewel, was selected for the Oprah Book Club in 1999. As 2011 marks the twentieth anniversary of Jewel's publication, Christy and Bret look back on two decades of his career, which includes teaching at the College of Charleston (SC), serving as Editor of The Southern Review, and a Presidential appointment to the National Council on the Arts.
