International Arts Movement is a community of aspiring, emerging, and established artists and creative catalysts. Over the years, we have been very fortunate to have interns who added tremendous value and life to the movement, and just about all of those who have interned with us remain deeply involved in the movement when they move on to their next season of life. These aspiring artists often move into their careers as emerging artists, bringing the mission, vision and values they picked up from IAM into local creative spheres throughout the world.

Maureen Lovett is one such intern. Having spent a year living in NYC, working as an intern with transFORM and IAM, she is now in Charlottesville, Virginia, working as a leader of IAM's Charlottesville outpost, New City Arts Initiative. Here, Christy and Moe discuss her work with NCAI, the value of being an IAM intern, and how she stays motivated creatively post-college.
