An internationally-renown Japanese-American artist, Mako combines ancient
traditional Japanese Nihonga with western techniques, creating an art form
that is unique and beautiful. Mako has served on the National Council on the
Arts since 2003, and his work is shown in New York at Chelsea's
Dillon Gallery. Mako is also the founder of International Arts
